TED University Authorized as an Implementing Organization under TÜBİTAK BiGG Investment Program

BİGGNITE

Within the scope of the 1812 Investment-Based Entrepreneurship Support Program (BiGG Investment) conducted by TÜBİTAK, the Implementing Organizations that will carry out the Stage 1 Acceleration Program for the 2026–2028 period have been announced. In this context, TED University has been authorized as one of the Implementing Organizations under the BİGGNITE Consortium.

The BİGGNITE Consortium has been established through the collaboration of TED University, OSTİM Technical University, Health Sciences University TEKMER, and Bilkent TEKMER. Being authorized by TÜBİTAK within this structure stands as a significant indicator of TED University’s strong commitment to entrepreneurship, innovation, and investment-oriented development.

As part of the 2025 call, 54 project proposals involving 141 organizations were submitted for evaluation. Following a highly competitive selection process, 35 projects were deemed eligible for support. The acceptance of the BİGGNITE Consortium—distinguished by its quality, collaboration structure, and implementation capacity—confirms TED University’s institutional competence in entrepreneurship, acceleration, and investment readiness, as well as its strong position within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The BiGG Investment Program aims to prepare early-stage, technology- and innovation-driven business ideas for investment, while strengthening entrepreneurs through qualified mentorship, training, and acceleration support. In the new period, investment-oriented support mechanisms have been further reinforced, with acceleration program content, training modules, and mentor support prioritized.

As part of the BİGGNITE Consortium, TED University will evaluate technology-focused business ideas and provide comprehensive support to selected ventures through the acceleration program, including business model development, business plan preparation, and investment readiness. This process is expected to create new opportunities for collaboration, project development, and entrepreneurship for TED University’s academic staff and students.

Since 2012, TÜBİTAK has supported entrepreneurs’ journeys from idea to market through the BiGG and BiGG Investment Programs, while acceleration processes have been carried out by Implementing Organizations since 2015. TED University’s inclusion in this well-established structure represents a concrete contribution to the national entrepreneurship ecosystem.

We would like to thank all stakeholders who contributed to this important achievement and look forward to further strengthening our entrepreneurship ecosystem together in the coming period. Updates regarding the process and activities to be carried out within TEDU-GO will be shared in due course.
